- You know? Spain is Nordic and has no influence from North Africa. They repeat the same in all the forums. They forgot haplogroup E, subclade M-81 . Continuing with serious things. Surprisingly the highest percentage of haplogroup R1b was found in black Africa, the tribe of Ouldeme, from Cameroon. Awesome rate of 95.5%. The subclade is R-V88.
- Mar 31, 2009 · Anyhow haplogroup E is not diagnostic of the Middle East. It could be directly African from NE and E Africa specifically the Horn of Africa travelling up the Indian Ocean from Africa. Haplogroup E is of African origin, despite some subclades of E being of Middle Eastern or SE European in origin.
- The Ainu people of Japan is notable for possessing almost exclusively Haplogroup D chromosomes In human genetics, Haplogroup D (M174) is a Y-chromosome haplogroup.D is believed to have originated in Africa some 50,000 years before present. Along with haplogroup E, D contains the distinctive YAP polymorphism, which indicates their common ancestry.
- Nowadays, the highest genetic diversity of haplogroup E1b1b is observed in Northeast Africa, especially in Ethiopia and Somalia, which also have the monopoly of older and rarer branches like M281, V6 or V92. This suggests that E1b1b may indeed have appeared in East Africa, then expanded north until the Levant.

"Star" lineages sometimes arise when a population grows rapidly. If your paternal haplogroup assignment ends with a star, your paternal lineage may have participated in such a population expansion.

Any info on y-dna haplogroup E-M5021? I had my dad take the DNA test and he came back with E-M5021 as his haplogroup. I've tried to search for info on this haplogroup but there seems to be relatively little info out there on it. Haplogroup L3 arose close to 70,000 years ago, near the time of the recent out-of-Africa event. This dispersal originated in East Africa and expanded to West Asia, and further to South and Southeast Asia in the course of a few millennia, and some research suggests that L3 participated in this migration out of Africa. E-M81 is the most common subclade of haplogroup E-L19/V257. It is concentrated in the north africa, and is dominated by its E-M183 subclade.E-M183 is believed to have originated in northwestern Africa, and has an estimated age of 2284-2984 ybp. Haplogroup U is a human mitochondrial DNA haplogroup (mtDNA). The clade arose from haplogroup R, likely during the early Upper Paleolithic. Its various subclades (labelled U1–U9, diverging over the course of the Upper Paleolithic) are found widely distributed across Northern and Eastern Europe, Central, Western and South Asia, as well as North Africa, the Horn of Africa, and the Canary Islands. E1 probably represent a late-Pleistocene migration from North Africa to Europe over the Sinai Peninsula in Egypt. E3b (aka E1b1b) probably evolved either in Northeast Africa or the Near East and then expanded to the west both north and south of the Mediterranean Sea.

May 19, 2017 · The structure of haplogroup H reveals significant differences between the western and eastern edges of the Mediterranean, as well as between the northern and southern regions. Human populations along the westernmost Mediterranean coasts, which were settled by individuals from two continents separated by a relatively narrow body of water, show the highest frequencies of mitochondrial haplogroup ...

The E-M96 clade is divided into two subclades: The more common E-P147 and the less common E-M75. Haplogroups can be used to define genetic populations and are often geographically ...
ing the question of its origin. (A haplogroup is a group of hap-lotypes that share some sequence variations.) Its variation and geographical distribution suggest that Asian haplogroup M separated from eastern-African haplogroup M more than 50,000 years ago. Two other variants (489C and 10873C) also support a single origin of haplogroup M in Africa. Haplogroup H-M82 is a major lineage cluster in the Balkan Romani group, accounting for approximately 60% of the total. [13] A 2-bp deletion at M82 locus defining this haplogroup was also reported in one-third of males from traditional Romani populations living in Bulgaria, Spain, and Lithuania (Gresham et al. 2001). High prevalence of Asian ...
Haplogroup R1b is the dominant haplogroup of Western Europe and also found sparsely distributed among various peoples of Asia and Africa. Its subclade R1b1a2 (M269) is the haplogroup that is most commonly found among modern Western European populations, and has been associated with the Italo-Celtic and Germanic peoples. Haplogroup L3 is a human mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) haplogroup. The clade has played a pivotal role in the early dispersal of anatomically modern humans.. It is strongly associated with the out-of-Africa migration of modern humans of about 70–50,000 years ago.
